Pet owners will click on the Contact button on your profile to send you a booking request.
When you receive a booking request from an owner you don't know yet, before accepting the booking we encourage you to arrange a free Meet & Greet to ensure that you will get along. Without a Meet & Greet, you risk not being covered by our Pawshake Guarantee.
Having a Meet & Greet is, of course, not necessary for returning clients.
Did the Meet & Greet with the owner and pet go well? Then the owner needs to finalize the booking by hitting the "book now" button in your conversation thread. At this moment the pet owner pays for the booking.
As soon as they have done so you receive a notification asking you to confirm or decline the booking request. You have 72 hours to accept or decline. If you accept, the booking is officially confirmed. If you decline, the booking is automatically cancelled and the owner refunded.
If you neither accept nor decline the request in time, the booking is automatically cancelled, and the funds are refunded to the owner. The owner will then need to send a new booking request if they still would like to book you.
Can you create a booking request for an owner? Yes, but only if the owner is a repeat client of yours, which means you've completed at least one booking with them. Here's how you can initiate a booking.
