There are a couple of reasons why your profile might not appear in the search results.
When you first register, your profile won't be active until it's been approved by our Success Team, who will check your application within 5-7 business days. Feel free to keep working on your profile in the meantime, and to get your inspiration from successful sitter profiles in your area.
If your profile isn’t visible and you have been enrolled for a while, check the notification on your dashboard. We have some tips and tricks on how to gain more visibility.
If you get a notification on your dashboard that your address is not recognised, it won't appear in the search results. Our maps are based on Google Maps, so it helps to look up your address in Google Maps and enter it the way it comes up there, without any additions (e.g. your flat number, the name of the building etc.).
The search results show the top 100 most relevant sitters, determined by distance and availability. If there are fewer than 100 sitters within a certain maximum distance, it will show all relevant sitters within that maximum search radius.
Maximum distance differs per service:
No service selected - max. 20km
House sitting - max. 15km
Home boarding - max. 15km
Home visits - max. 6km
Dog walks - max. 4km
Doggy daycare - max. 5km
Please note, although our search filters are optimised for pet owners who live close to your location, it is still possible for owners to contact you from further away.
If you have more than a certain number of bookings for a certain period, you will not appear in the search results for that period. The limits are:
House sitting - max. 1 booking
Home boarding and doggy daycare combined - max. 5 bookings
Also, the availability that you set in your calendar applies.
